Old style turned modern.
It is the Helvetica of the serifs.

I'm in love with DSType Leitura, but it might be because there's a yummy Leitura Display, and even a Leitura Sans…

The new Capsa looks very nice too.

Well i think some of the favourites in this thread ain't contemporary.
I must add Museo typeface by Jos Buivenga as contemporary.
It has a very unique serif, a semi-slab serif.
