Have you tried Linotype's Font Explorer? The beta version was
being offered for free at Linotype during their testing phase, but since the testing is over they stopped offering it. The new version will be out soon. They do offer the new version for the Mac for free, that's if you use a Mac though! |

for windows: fontexpert 2007 has some nice features besides just viewing your fonts.

i use font expert. nice viewing, install and desinstall fonts really well, nice font management. I`m really confortable with it, but i always keep on eye in others, just to see if there is something better out there.

I am using Linotype FontXplorer Beta. It's sweet. I love how it activates the fonts and deactivates them systemwide. I think they closed Beta though. Gotta wait for the full version. It's free too.
