Hello,

I'm looking for the book titled "Play Money" (or a similar book perhaps) on how to make real money in a virtual world. I'd also like to find a copy of the game "Second Life" (would even try a demo if I wouldn't be totally restricted) to see if it's something I'd like to get involved with. I'm interested in creating a virtual store with 'real' products that can be bought through this store. It's an interesting concept, something that I hadn't even given much thought until I saw a 5-part series on the evolution of video games. They claim that the book is very helpful in introducing the newbie to the virtual worlds so that they aren't totally lost when they first get there. They also explore the same ideas that I have for creating a virtual store, and explain what it involves and how to set one up. I'm not sure if this is something to which I want to devote alot of my time; until I'm free to explore, I don't know how many possibilities exist for growth, if any. I'm such a neophyte in the world of virtual gaming that I don't feel I could give this a decent shot without the help of a book such as this. I haven't had any luck finding it and hope that someone here can help me out. As I mentioned, I'd also like to find a copy of the game software if possible. I don't think that they offer a full-feature demo (if any at all). If I decide to devote alot of time to opening a virtual store I would of course buy the game - it would be silly not to buy my own copy if I'm going to start a new business within the game world. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated! Even just a copy of the book might be enough to tell me if I should pursue this new interest.
