I wanted to use the apple operating system beacuse it had some cool features

Si podes poner Linux o Windows, Linux y Linux, Windows ME y Windows XP,.....etc,
1)Usted debe particionar el disco con FDISK u otro ( ej: Partition Magic).
2) Instalar el SO Windows o Linux, Si instala Windows, luego de la instalacion podra poner BOOT MAGIC for Windows, o si es Linux este instala el LILO ( GRUB), en ambos nos pide cual es el BOOT DEFAULT. It's an litle example, please for mi Inglish...Walter

OSX is very good but you should also take a look to some linux distribution such as ubuntu. Less user friendly but as a geek it's a real pleasure to discover features day by day.

Search for "OS X x86", there's pre-made CDs for it

You need a dual core processor on a notebook or workstation with OSX. The OSX has a programm named BootCamp. With this proggi you are able to install Windows on your system too.

Yes, any of the more recent Macs are powerful enough to run two operating Systems at once. I use "Parallels" to run Windows XP on my Mac but there are other systems out there.

Best to have a fairly healthy amount of RAM (2GB) if you want to run both OSs and programmes in each at once.

lots of hackintoshes out there, the response you get are a good start for you. There are lots of wikis out there.
