Software update will bring it up to the final version 6.2.9 & it will certainly run using 10.4.10
Appleworks has now been replaced by Pages - part of iWork '08 |

It runs, but AppleWorks is no longer supported by Apple. I'd suggest moving your files to a new word processor - perhaps NeoOffice: NeoOffice Home
