I'd have to agree with others here - even IF you manage to properly set up MacOS on a generic pc notebook, you'll have serious trouble updating it, some of the functions like sleep might not function properly etc. Buy yourself a refurb and enjoy your true Mac.

Even if you buy a new Mac, it's worth every cent. That's my personal experience, I never had any problems with either hardware or software, or any lack of performance. That's why I still use an almost 4-year-old G4 PowerBook.
